We make our perfumes in four series, and the difference between them isn't marketing tiers. It's how much is in the bottle and how far the idea is pushed.
Here's the honest breakdown, including who shouldn't buy the expensive ones.
Regular — around $30
The main shelf, and most of what we sell.
These are built to be worn constantly. Balanced, wearable, the kind of scent that works at an office and at dinner without anyone having to think about it. Every one is an eau de parfum, so they last a working day on two sprays.
If you're buying your first D&P bottle, buy from here. Not because it's cheapest, but because this is where the scents most people love live.
Premium — around $40
Same idea, more of it.
More layers, a deeper dry-down, and more presence over a long evening. Where a Regular unfolds over a few hours, a Premium keeps going and keeps changing.
Buy Premium when you have a specific occasion in mind, or when you've found a scent direction you love and want the richer version of it.
Niche — $59.99
This is the one that's genuinely different, not just more.
Niche perfumery means one strong idea taken further than a department store would allow — heavier, darker, sometimes strange. Our Niche Series is built the same way: fewer notes, pushed harder, at higher concentration. Serein, Hidden Shadow, Abendrot, Dainty, Lucida.
These are not crowd-pleasers and they're not trying to be. Somebody will love it and somebody won't want to sit next to it. That's what you're buying.
Buy Niche if you already know what you like and want something with a point of view.
Oud — $39.99 to $59.99
Its own thing rather than a tier.
Oud is a resin, and it makes a scent heavy, dry and serious in a way no other note does. Warm, woody, slightly medicinal, and it lasts longer than almost anything else in perfumery.
Buy Oud if you lean woody or spicy already. Don't start here if you mostly wear fresh and clean scents — it'll feel like too much and you'll conclude you don't like oud when what you don't like is the jump.
The short version
- Never bought from us before — Regular.
- Want an evening bottle — Premium.
- Own five bottles and find most perfume boring — Niche.
- Already wear woody or spicy scents — Oud.
- Buying for someone else — Regular, and 50 ml.
One thing that stays the same across all four
Every bottle in every series is an eau de parfum, blended with quality oils sourced in Europe, and every one is vegan and cruelty-free. The price changes what's in the blend and how far it goes — not whether we cut corners at the bottom.
We're D&P Perfumum — our own fragrances, our own New Jersey stores, and four series that all cost less than the name on a department store shelf.
